PT Putra Indotenaga, a subsidiary of PT Indonesia Power,
which is one of the subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero).
PT Barito Wahana Lestari, a subsidiary of PT Barito Pacific Tbk.
The business of PT Indo Raya Tenaga is electrical power generation.
The Jawa-9 & 10 project assignment to provide 2 x 1000 MW electrical energy in Suralaya (Banten Province of Indonesia), which is undertaken by PT Indo Raya Tenaga, is being targeted to conclude by 2023.
History
PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (“Barito Pacific” or “the Company”) was established on April 14, 1979 under the name of PT Bumi Raya Pura Mas Kalimantan.
Currently, the Company through its entities performs business in the fields of forestry, petrochemical, property, plantation and renewable energy.
Barito Pacific was primarily established its business in forestry and timber. The Company became one of the pioneers of Industrial Forest (Hutan Tanaman Industri – HTI) management under a sustainable forest management system.
With a high spirit of innovation, the Company has successfully built its reputation as the pioneer of environmentally friendly forestry company in
Asia. The Company was also successful in gaining recognition in the forestry and timber industry.
Barito Pacific changed its status to public company in 1993 through shares listing in the Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya Stock Exchange, which have been merged into Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).
This change was followed by the Company’s name change to PT Barito Pacific Timber Tbk. in 1996.
In the early 20th century, the Company decided to cease plywood production as part of its business strategy towards becoming a diversified business.
Since then, Barito Pacific has grown into a resource-based company with diversified products. In line with its development, Barito Pacific changed its name to PT Barito Pacific Tbk. in 2007.
In the same year, the Company became the majority shareholder of Chandra Asri, the only olefin producer in Indonesia, with 70% ownership. In 2008, the Company also acquired PT Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk., a leading polypropylene producer in Indonesia. Both of these companies subsequently decided to merge as PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk., the biggest and most integrated petrochemical producer in Indonesia.
